ERHS Class of 1965 50th Reunion Weekend Details:

Friday July 24th, 2015

At 1:00 in the afternoon we will take a 2 hour river boat ride on the Coosa River on the Sulzbacher Roman Holiday. Mike Ragland who is a Rome historian will accompany the ride and so this has become an historical boat tour of Rome. The boat is limited to 45 passengers so we need to know if you plan on attending and if you are bringing a guest. If we get more than 45 we will divide the trip into two one hour rides.  Dress of course on a July day in Rome is casual. A cooler will be furnished so bring your own water or other beverage to throw in the cooler. This is a no charge event for the class of 1965 compliments of your reunion committee however tipping of the crew would be nice so bring a couple of dollars for the tip jar.

From 3:30 until 4:30 we will tour The Rome Area History Museum. The museum closes at 4:30 but if we have a crowd there they will accommodate us a little longer than 4:30. The museum is free.

From 5:00 until 7:00 we will have a Hospitality Suite at Hawthorn Suites. There will be beer, wine and snacks, again for the class of ’65 and a guest. This event is compliments of Jenny Rainwater Fricks.

Saturday July 25th, 2015

At 10:00 we will meet at The Coosa Country Club for brunch. Cost is $20 per person for the class of 1965 and a guest. Dress at The Coosa Country Club is resort or dressy casual (no jeans or flip flops).

At 1:00 we will meet at the Palladium to decorate for the party. We will do everything possible to make the Palladium look like a 1965 sock hop and if you would like to help come on down.  Dress of course is casual and you won’t be charged a dime to help decorate.

At 6:00 the reunion will start at the Palladium. This is for the class of 1965 and we are inviting members of the classes of 1963 through 1969. Cost is $40 per person. Group photos will start at 6:30 with the class of 1963 and go each 10 minutes until we are through. Dinner will be provided by The Catering Company of The Palladium using food stations located through-out the area. Soft drinks and mixers will be provided however adult beverages are BYOB. Music will be provided by the Odd Man Out band from Atlanta and we have asked them to play as much 1960’s music as they can. The band will play from 9:00 until mid-night.
